Fill in the fields above and click Calculate to see your results.
How to use
To calculate Personal Income Tax (PIT) for expatriates in Vietnam, first input the gross monthly salary in VND. Next, indicate the residency status (Tax Resident or Non-Resident), as this fundamentally changes the applicable tax brackets or flat rates. If you are a tax resident, enter the number of registered dependants to apply the standard deduction of 4.4M VND per dependant. The calculator will automatically apply the 11M VND personal deduction (for residents only) and process the progressive tax brackets up to 35%, or apply the flat 20% rate for non-residents. Review the estimated PIT amount and your net take-home pay to plan your finances effectively.
